Welcome to Linguary Echo. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1) General Disclaimer

Linguary Echo is a registered business name under a sole proprietorship (“sole trader”) in Australia (for our ABN, please refer to the website footer). We are not affiliated with any third-party organizations, businesses, or external groups. All services provided are directly through Linguary Echo and its sole proprietor, Christopher Plewa. Our website may contain links to external platforms. Additionally, we may share other external resources or links during lessons. Please note that these links and resources are provided for informational purposes only, and we are not responsible for their content or activities.

2) Privacy Policy

• Data Collection

  We collect personal information when you submit an inquiry, request services, or interact with our website. This may include, but is not limited to, your name and email address.

• Use of Data

  The information you provide is used solely for providing language teaching and translation services, processing payments, and contacting you regarding your inquiries. We do not share your personal data with third parties unless required by law or if it is necessary for processing your service request, such as using a payment processor or other service providers.

• Client Rights

  You have the right to access, update, and delete your personal data at any time. You can request this by contacting us directly.

• Data Access

  Only the sole proprietor of Linguary Echo will have access to your personal data. We are committed to handling your information securely and responsibly.

3) Conditions of Service

We accept payments via direct bank transfer or PayPal. You will receive the necessary details to make the payment when your service is confirmed or invoiced.

3.1) For Language Lessons

• Payment for language lessons is due at the latest on the day the lesson is provided.

• One lesson usually lasts one hour. If the lesson exceeds the scheduled time, additional time may be billed accordingly.

• If the lesson is canceled during the lesson time, you will still be charged the full agreed price for the lesson.

• In case of no-shows, the full agreed price for the lesson will be charged.

• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the original lesson price.

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson will incur no charge.

3.2) For Translation Services

• A 20% deposit of the total price is required before work begins on any translation project. This deposit is necessary to secure time for your project and protect against cancellations.

• If the project is canceled before work has started, the 20% deposit will be refunded. Once work begins, the deposit is non-refundable.

• The remaining 80% of the total price is due at the latest on the confirmed delivery date.

• You will receive an estimated completion time (e.g., 3 days) in your quote. The confirmed delivery date will be set on this timeframe once both the deposit and your confirmation are received.

• Any adjustments made after confirmation may affect the delivery date.

• The final product may be delivered earlier than the confirmed delivery date, unless otherwise agreed upon. 

4) Discount Policy for Language Lessons

• The first session (60 mins) is free of charge and not counted as a lesson.

• For every 5th lesson, you will receive a 50% discount off the full lesson price.

• For every 10th lesson, you will receive an 80% discount off the full lesson price.

• The discount applies to the current lesson’s hourly rate.

• The cycle repeats after the 10th lesson, meaning the 11th lesson will be at full price, the 15th will receive a 50% discount, and so on.

• Discounts apply only to completed and paid lessons. They will be calculated based on the actual hours worked. Cancellations or no-shows do not count toward the discount cycle.

5) Limitation of Liability

Linguary Echo will not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

6) Intellectual Property

All content provided by Linguary Echo, including lessons and translations, is owned by Linguary Echo and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell any content without prior written permission.

7) Changes to Terms & Conditions

Linguary Echo reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and it is your responsibility to review the document regularly.
