1) General Disclaimer

Linguary Echo is a registered business name under a sole proprietorship (“sole trader”) in Australia (for my ABN, please refer to the website footer). I am not affiliated with any third-party organizations, businesses, or external entities. All services are provided exclusively by me, Christopher Plewa, as the sole proprietor. My website may contain links to external platforms. Additionally, I may share other external resources or links during sessions. Please note that these links and resources are provided for informational purposes only, and I am not responsible for their content or activities.

2) Privacy Policy

• Data Collection

  I collect personal information when you submit an inquiry, request services, or interact with my website. This may include, but is not limited to, your name and email address.

• Use of Data

  The information you provide is used solely for providing language tutoring, translation services, processing payments, and contacting you regarding your inquiries. I do not share your personal data with third parties unless required by law or if it is necessary for processing your service request, such as using a payment processor or other service providers.

• Client Rights

  You have the right to access, update, and delete your personal data at any time. You can request this by contacting me directly. However, please note that if you request deletion of essential data required to deliver my services (such as your name or contact details), I may no longer be able to provide the requested service.

• Data Access

  Only I, as the sole proprietor of Linguary Echo, have access to your personal data. I have enabled two-factor authentication and take all reasonable precautions to ensure your data is stored securely and handled responsibly.

• Website Usage & Analytics

  My website uses cookies and Google Analytics to better understand how visitors use the site, improve functionality, and enhance user experience. When you visit the site, you will be notified of this through a cookie alert. By continuing to browse, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this policy. 3) Conditions of Service

All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD). Payment is accepted via direct bank transfer or PayPal. Payment details will be provided once your service is confirmed or invoiced. I reserve the right to refuse service for any reason at my discretion, including but not limited to scheduling conflicts, scope of request, or communication concerns.

3.1) For Language Tutoring

• The first session/trial session lasts 45 minutes and is free of charge. It’s an opportunity to discuss your goals, assess your needs, and see if we’re a good match to work together.

• Full payment is required upfront before any tutoring sessions can be scheduled. Once payment is received, you will receive a Microsoft Bookings link to book your sessions at your convenience.

• Please leave at least 48 hours between sessions. This allows time for tailored preparation, homework reviews, and optimal learning progress.

• Each session lasts one hour. If the session exceeds the scheduled time, additional time may be billed accordingly.

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session or failure to attend a session (no-show) will count as a completed session and be deducted from your package.

• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled session will not be counted and can be rescheduled.

3.2) For Translation Services

• The first consultation (30 minutes) is free of charge and is intended to discuss the scope, goals, and requirements of your translation project. Any subsequent consultations will be billed at a fixed hourly rate.

• Full payment is required upfront before the project begins. Once payment and confirmation are received, the project will be scheduled and work will commence.

• The final product will be delivered as a PDF or Word document on the confirmed delivery date, which will be based on the timeline outlined in the quote.

• Any adjustments made after confirmation may affect the delivery date.

• Please note that payment is non-refundable once the project is confirmed, as time and expertise are committed to your translation from the outset.

4) Refund Policy

4.1) For Language Tutoring

Because a free trial session is provided to ensure a good fit, and full payment is made in advance for lesson packages, refunds are generally not offered once payment is received. However, in exceptional circumstances (e.g. serious illness, extended unavailability), partial refunds may be considered at my discretion. Missed or cancelled sessions within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be counted against your package and are not refundable.

4.2) For Translation Services

Refunds are not available once a project has been confirmed and work has begun. However, if I am unable to complete the translation by the confirmed delivery date, or if I notify you in advance that I cannot meet the agreed deadline, you will receive a full refund. I understand that missing a deadline can result in serious consequences for your business or project, which is why I take deadlines very seriously and always aim to deliver high-quality work on time.

5) Limitation of Liability

Linguary Echo will not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. However, in the case of demonstrable errors in translation that directly lead to damage or loss, particularly in product-related content such as user manuals or safety instructions, I acknowledge full responsibility. I take these matters very seriously and apply thorough quality control to ensure accuracy and reliability.

6) Intellectual Property

All content provided by Linguary Echo, including lessons and translations, is owned by Linguary Echo and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell any content without prior written permission.

7) Changes to Terms & Conditions

Linguary Echo reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and it is your responsibility to review the document regularly.
